Camp Green Lane Blog Post July 8th

The weather outside may be hot but here at Camp Green Lane we are keeping cool! Everyone is walking around with their water bottles and staying hydrated. Whole cabins are sprinting to the Lake and cannot wait for their instructional swim periods. Today we had our first pop squad of the summer. During pop squad we give out a nice refreshing Popsicle for our afternoon snack. The campers were jumping for joy seeing this new addition to the afternoon snack rotation.

Tonight we will have our second Friday night services of the summer, this time lead by the Inter Girls. I get so excited to hear what their theme will be. Are we going to discuss new camp friendships as we finish our second week? Or maybe this one will be about all the traditions at Camp Green Lane. Could it even be about all the great sportsmanship we have been seeing throughout the summer? The point is that each division gets to pick a topic that is special and means something to them. Each division of campers puts something different into the service they lead. So as we go into this Friday evening here at CGL think about what is a topic that could make camp special for you.
