Health & Safety

The health, safety and security of our campers is our number-one priority from the minute your child(ren) step off the bus in June until we return them to your care in August.

Our infirmary is a comfortable, friendly place for our camp family to receive the medical assistance they need throughout the summer. There is a boys’ and a girls’ side of the infirmary, each with 10 beds in an air-conditioned environment. The infirmary is staffed 24 hours a day by our medical staff which is comprised of three registered nurses, a camp Doctor and a camp mom. Our camp mom serves as a warm maternal figure for our campers when they need some extra TLC. A mother herself, our camp mom is a hand to hold when a scraped knee needs tending to or when a trip to the local orthodontist for a broken bracket is necessary. We are 6.5 miles from Grand View Hospital located in Sellersville, PA.

We work closely with families to ensure our campers’ medical needs are understood and met. We partner with a company called CampMeds so that prescription medications are delivered directly to camp and distributed properly based on your physicians directions.

Our Staff are personally interviewed and screened for appropriate positions. Multiple reference checks are done and all of our staff must go through a Criminal background check, a Child Abuse check and FBI Fingerprinting . Both new and returning staff are required to be at our 6 day staff orientation. Our staff are continuously evaluated while camp is in session.

All cabins are equipped with smoke detection devices. We have two security guards during the day and a night security guard as well.

Camp Green Lane is an Accredited Member of the American Camp Association.
