How many people on this planet do you know what color toothbrush they’re currently using?

Of all the people you know, how many of their brothers and sisters can you name? How many of their hometowns can you recite? How many of their pet peeves do you know? What are their favorite songs? Least favorite meals?

Here at camp, we know the answers to all of these questions when it comes to our counselors.

A staple on the Evening Activity schedule that goes back decades, Know Your Counselor is a fun game played by every division in camp at one point in the summer. Questions like the ones above are regularly asked and it’s always a fun night to see which cabins truly know their counselors best.

Today was Funday on the schedule, so everyone started the day with Super Clean-Up. We had yogurt, granola and fruit for breakfast and Sloppy Joes for lunch. The Boys had Elective in the morning; the Girls in the afternoon. There were lots of Leagues games played around camp today and Tournaments are in full swing, too. Throughout the summer we stage divisional tournaments and award trophies for things like the longest throw, fastest swimmer and foul shots champion.

Today was also the second of two days of Pickleball Camp on the Boys’ Hardtop. Dozens of campers signed up to learn about and play the game, which we’ve had on the daily schedule for a few years. Now with some added instruction, and some cool shirts, Pickleball has quickly become a CGL favorite.

Speaking of favorites, tomorrow is one of our favorite trips of the summer. Lower camp is headed to Dorney Park and the Upper Seniors and Greeks are going to Hershey Park for the Day.

We’ll all meet back here at camp tomorrow for a “surprise” Fireworks Show.

A fun, busy week continues!
