What’s on your CGL Bucket List?

What do you want to do before the end of Summer 2026?

I posed that question to the campers today, and I can’t wait to receive—and do—the responses.

Today was Sayday here at camp, so the Boys were at Elective and Leagues and Instructional Swim in the morning. The Girls had Clinic and cabin activities and Leagues, too. We had pizza for lunch and the Boys finished the day with Free Swim.

For the last four weeks, I’ve been sitting outside the gate at the pool during Free Swim. Towards the end of the period, many of the boys would rather sit outside the fence in the grass, so they slowly “escape” to the outside. Today we talked about their top memories of the summer, because we’ve done so much already.

The boys of the Cubs, Blue Jays and A’s listed, in no particular order, their best memories of 2026 … so far:

* “When I hacked the vending machine and got a second soda.”

* “When we rowed a canoe all the way down to the end of the lake.”

* “Lax camp.”

* “IronPigs.”

* “The #CGL100 day, with the pizza.”

* “Steamy Day, when we had the pools and sprinklers.”

* “Color War is going to be better than all of that.”

* “I can’t wait for it to break!”

Tonight, those boys, with the rest of the Inters, Debs and Cadets will add to this list when they throw on sunglasses and glitzy outfits and head over to the Globe for Casino Night.

One of the most anticipated evening activities of the summer, Casino Night transforms the Globe into a Las Vegas restaurant/casino with hot food, games, and awesome prizes. Everyone gets dressed up and hopes it’s their lucky night. In previous summers, people have won DoorDashes for friends, off-periods in the White House and golf cart rides around camp.

It’s someone’s lucky night.

They’re going to make an unforgettable memory tonight.
