Camp Green Lane Blog–July 1

, July 1, 2016

Today we competed in our first inter-camp games of the summer. Inter-camp games are when we play against another camp in different sports. . Today our 14 under and 16 under teams competed in basketball and soccer. We split the games against Camp Saginaw winning 2 and losing 2. The campers were all very excited to get into the competitive spirit. I love how Camp Green Lane comes together to support out teams. We had senior girls cheering hard at the soccer games. All the Inter boys loved to watch the older boys play basketball on BB1. We really came together and showed what a great group of campers we have here.

As we move into the 4th of July weekend we have a lot of fun and exciting activities coming up. Tonight in the Globe, the senior girls will lead our first Friday night service of the summer. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day once again between the arches. Sunday we will be going to the Iron Pigs game to get some Aw Shucks corn and see the fireworks. Then Monday starts all the Carnival fun. Today the cabins had their first Carnival Skit Practice. As I walked around during the rehearsal time, I have to say I think it is going to be a tough completion.  We hope everyone enjoys the 4th of July weekend.

Yours in Camping
