Happy Funday!

Today is the last day in our 8-day camp schedule, and we are excited to start fresh with brand new electives and clinics tomorrow. Olympics is on Friday, so tomorrow will be a taste of the fun that is to come before we pause to compete while representing our Battle at the Zoo teams.

Today, I thought I would take some time to chat with some of our campers to see how they are enjoying camp this summer! During Juice Squad, I joined Inter Girl cabin Regency to ask them some hard pressing camp-related questions so I could share their answers with you.

Here’s what they had to say!

REGENCY:

What is the best part of camp?

“The pool!”

“Cooking!”

“Arts and crafts!”

“Quads!”

What are some words you would use to describe your cabin this summer?

“Crazy.”

“Awesome!”

“The best! And the best because it’s all of our first year at camp, and next year when we come back, we’ll be able to say we’re the Best all over again.”

“Amazing!”

What’s your favorite camp food?

“Barbecue.”

“Girls canteens. The skittles!”

“A Hershey bar or vanilla soft serve.”

“Sloppy joes!”

What is something you learned about camp that you didn’t know before you got here?

“It’s really fun!”

“That we get to do cool things like Olympics and Survivor.”

“That the beds are tiny.”

“That we only call home once a week, but it’s okay because I’m here with my friends.”

What’s been your favorite part about this summer so far?

“Pal night!”

“The scavenger hunt!”

“The Iron pigs baseball game.”

“Bowling!”

I hope you can sense some of their enthusiasm and enjoyment in their answers. Even some of our youngest campers who may struggle with homesickness from time to time (totally normal!) are really finding their way here, and finding things to celebrate and love about camp. We have officially been here two and a half weeks, and everyone has found a rhythm and a routine and plenty of things and people that are making this summer one they’ll never forget.

What other cabins should we interview next?!
