Camp Green Lane Blog Post July 15th
Today was Heyday at camp.
It was warm, but not unbearable, and everyone got time at the pool in the afternoon for Free Swim. Earlier in the day, the boys had Clinic and the girls went to Elective and Clinic in the afternoon. Inter Boys had Cooking and Pickleball, Arts and Crafts and Flag Football. They spent time at mini-golf and ping pong and finished the morning with Leagues.
The Cadets were at bikes, archery, lake and low ropes. Inter Girls were at beach volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, gymnastics and instructional swim. Debs had Leagues, dance, gymnastics, mini-golf and lake, Senior Girls went to high ropes, drama, flag football and fitness and Senior Boys played wiffleball, hockey, went to quads and archery in the morning.
Tonight, the Inter Girls went to Freddy Hill for mini-golf and ice cream. Inter Boys were going to Beat the Pro, the Debs and Cadets are having a night swim.
Tonight is also the first Casino Night of the summer, one of the most anticipated evening activities at CGL. The GLOBE is transformed into an Atlantic City casino and boardwalk for the evening with card games, a roulette wheel, games of chance, amazing prizes (we’re talking golf cart rides and DoorDash orders) and plenty of delicious snacks like chicken fingers, fries and onion rings. Tonight, the Seniors and Greeks will dress up in their finest casino wear.
Tomorrow, the younger campers including Inters, Debs and Cadets will get a chance to visit the casino and win some prizes of their own.
