Camp Green Lane Blog Post July 20th
Every Friday night, Uncle Max asks us to turn to our neighbors and say something you’re excited for this week.
Every Camp Green Lane week features at least one special event, trip or activity we mentally circle. Looking at the calendar this evening, the coming week may be the most exciting non-Color War week of the summer. The next few days are jammed with trips and annual traditions and maybe even a few surprises—and the best part is we’ll be able to tell you all about it at the end of the week on Visiting Day!
So I want to say today was a little bit of the quiet before this week’s excitement really touches off.
Today was Playday, so the Boys had Clinic in the morning and the Girls had theirs in the afternoon. The Inter Girls and then Senior Girls had Instructional Swim; the Senior Boys had the same in the afternoon. Cooking hosted the Cubs, Regency, Gamma and the Padres throughout the day.
Tonight will be a busy one for Evening Activities: the Inter Boys are playing Night Leagues, the Inter Girls are going Bowling; the Cadets are having a Scavenger Hunt and the Debs will play Know Your Counselor; Senior Boys will go to Freddy Hill, Senior Girls will play Cake Boss and the Greeks have Black Light Dodgeball in the Dome.
Today was another great camp day, but it’s hard not to look ahead to the next few days.
Coming up are more Camps-within-a-camp, the return of Casino Night, the Senior Boys’ overnight, Dorney and Hershey Park trips, the annual CGL Fireworks show, the Camp Show and of course, Visiting Day on Saturday.
Now turn to your neighbor, wherever you may be, and say something you’re excited about this week.
