Camp Green Lane Blog Post, July 26th
The days following Visiting Day are always a little different. The biggest change is that we’ve moved to a 9:00 breakfast, giving campers and counselors some extra time to sleep.
The later wake-up is always appreciated—though we think shortening the camp day is crazy!
Today was a regular Funday schedule of activities, though it looked like the Slip and Slide next to the pool was pretty popular again today.
The days after Visiting Day are also a little different because one look at the calendar and you can see how little time we have left here at camp. The days after Visiting Day always go by in a flash, with so many exciting events and traditions packed into the last two weeks of the summer.
We have Halloween coming up, and Color War, Cabaret and Firefly on the final night. But you’ll also hear about annual rites of passage like the Polar Bear Plunge and Midnight Madness in the next few weeks.
Tonight for evening activity, the Inter and Cadet Boys are staging a Counselor Hunt, everyone’s favorite! The Inter Girls have board game night in the Canteen, the Debs have a Scavenger Hunt, the Senior Boys and Girls are excited for a campfire, and the Greeks are holding a Spelling Bee.
See you tomorrow!
