Camp Green Lane Newsletter-July 3rd, 2015

Have you ever watched a 5 year old play baseball? Chances are they spent more time catching fireflies and picking dandelions than they did playing baseball. Hopefully that is not the case tonight. Tonight is the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs game and boy are we excited. It is a gorgeous 80 degree day here at Camp Green Lane, perfect for watching a baseball game. The Philadelphia Phillies AAA team has a few up and coming stars and we love seeing them before they get to the Big Show. Even if you don’t love baseball, you have to love a night at the ballpark. There is something so all-American about the experience. I know for so many of us, going to a ball game is one of our earliest childhood memories. I’m sure tonight will be the same for our campers. After the game we are staying for the fireworks. I can’t wait to hear us all “ooh” and “aah” as the fireworks light up the night sky. Going to a baseball game is an amazing American tradition, and another precious Camp Green Lane memory. Oh, and don’t forget the Awshucks corn!

Your in camping,
